This book grabbed me by the seat of my pants and wouldn't let me off of the couch!
What a wonderful read by Carl Linke. I was shocked by it's ending when throughout the book, I thought I had things figured out. Outstanding book and so was his first book, Haint Blue. I'm not so patiently waiting for book #3. Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!!!!
I have it on my and I am really enjoying Mr. Linke's work. Very realistic and keeps you interested. I recommend it.
A completely far fetched plot which never the less is a fun read for basketball or mystery fans. I recommend it. By the way, Go Heels.
Whether you're a basketball junkie or not it was a page turner. Good mystery. Had my interest from beginning to end. Awesome read.
Flagrant Three opens with the sudden disappearance of Malik Farqu'har, the star basketball player of a Cinderella team headed to the Final Four Tournament in Atlanta. Tucker McGill, assistant athletic director of the small-town college and former NBA player, sets out to find Farqu'har and soon has the local police, the Atlanta Police, the NCAA chief and the FBI all involved. Linke draws the reader immediately into his tale of suspense through well-drawn characters and a plot of twists and turns, filled with murder and intrigue and a shocker of an ending. My husband, a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and a big Tar Heel fan, also enjoyed this thriller, finding it hard to put down once he started reading it. The book is entertaining from start to finish, and one does not have to be a basketball fan to become thoroughly engrossed in its story. I highly recommend it.
